Malaysia TM Premier League - Johor run riot to keep top position

YOUNG Tigers gave coach K. Rajagobal a winning send off after a 3-0 thrashing of Sarawak at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil yesterday but it was not enough to displace Johor from the top of the Premier League standings.
Johor are level on 28 points with the Tigers after scoring all their goals in the second half for a 5-0 win over strugglers Sinar Dimaja Mai Sarah at the Batu Kawan Stadium to lead the table on goal difference.

Ahmad Shakir Ali gave the Tigers the lead in the 30th minute with his eighth league goal of the season before Shukor Jusoh doubled their advantage from the penalty spot three minutes later.Sixteen-year-old Gary Steven Robba notched his third goal in two matches to hand the Tigers a 3-0 lead at the break.Kuala Lumpur strengthened their grip on fourth place with 19 points after two goals by striker Hadi Yahya gave them a 3-0 win over Sabah at the Likas Stadium.

Hadi's brace came in the 25th and 43rd minutes before midfielder Syazmin Firdaus Aminuddin nabbed his first ever goal for KL in the 66th minute as the visitors moved to within two points of third-placed Kuala Terengganu T-Team with their third straight league win.Faizal Nasir scored twice and Fauzi Kassim converted a penalty for Malacca in their 3-1 win over Kuantan Port-Shahzan Muda at the Darulmakmur Stadium in Kuantan.
