PETALING JAYA: The Manchester United travelling party for their Asia Tour, led by manager Alex Ferguson, are scheduled to fly into the KLIA in Sepang at 11am.
The managing director of ProEvents, the promoters of the Tour, San Boon Wah, said yesterday: “Everything is in place for United’s pre-season opening game.”
United will be making their first stop of their pre-season tour in Kuala Lumpur and they will have a match against Malaysia at the National Stadium in Bukuit Jalil tomorrow.
Boon Wah added that United would get down to serious business upon their arrival today and they would have an open training session at the stadium at 5.30pm.
“We advise fans with special passes for the session to come early because some 50,000 fans are expected to be at the stadium,” he said.
A total of 73,000 tickets for the match have been sold and only tickets priced at RM58 are still available.
Besides KL, the United Asia Tour will also have stops in Jakarta (July 20), Seoul (July 24) and Hangzhou (July 26).
